What a weekend! 19 Highlanders traveled to Denver for a great tournament, with six coming away with hardware. This is one of the toughest tournaments in the region every year. It’s a great measuring stick for our kids. 25 kids also traveled to the Havre Invitational with several kids coming away undefeated and everyone getting 3-4 matches.
The coaches were happy with how the kids wrestled at Havre. The club was unaware of the RED/BLUE format for the Havre Invitational (as it was not on the information sheet). That will be addressed at AAU state convention and we will make sure that is clearly stated on the registration form next time.
We’ve also launched a new website to help with club communication/promotion. Check us out at www.glasgowwrestlingclub.com. This site will contain much of the same info. you are getting in this email, media stories/results, along with pertinent club contact information.
Denver kids DO NOT need to attend practice this Monday, 3/17. Many of them will arrive after midnight Sunday and need the rest.

STATE AAU & MT OPEN
If you haven’t made reservations for the Montana Open in Billings on the weekend of 3/29 or State AAU on the weekend of 4/5 now would be a good time. I have included hotel information, where the club has reserved rooms for these two tournaments below.
Montana Open(Billings)- There have been a block of rooms reserved @ the Hilton Garden Inn for $112 a night. Please use the link below. State AAU (Butte)- There have been a block of rooms reserved @ the Holiday Inn Express in Butte for $99 a night. Please call (406) 782-2000 and reserve your room. Tell them you’re with Glasgow Wrestling Club.
You do not have to stay at these hotels. If you’d like to shop around, please do. If you have any questions please talk to a coach, veteran parent or board member.
