Nieskens , Highlanders Compete in Dual Meets

First ever dual experience for GWC wrestlers was a huge success!

The Glasgow Wrestling Club competed at the Inaugural Brodie Gorder Dual tournament in Sidney this past weekend.  GWC’s first experience at a dual tournament.

Competing for the Highlanders were:  Tyler King, Hank Hopstad, Khye Gamas, Ted See, Jake Kuka, Flint Dix, Connor Hudyma, Jaydeen Hanshew, Ethan Nickles, Ethyn Schindler, Levi Overvold, Kyler Hallock, Grady Nielsen, Carlos Gonzales, Blake Overvold, Kohl Kittleson, Riley Overvold, Tavin Boland and Jackson Bishop.

The Highlanders placed 5th overall in the LARGE team division. Khye Gamas and Kyler Hallock both went undefeated at 5-0 for the day. Blake Overvold won a quick pin trophy for his :10 fall.

Seventh grader Dylan Nieskens traveled to Iowa and competed with Team Montana against some of the nations BEST @ the Lee Palimuk national dual tournament.  Dylan did outstanding against some very tough competition, finishing 5-3 on the weekend.  Team Montana did great, with the help of Dylan who came away with an All-American medal and team medal on the weekend.  Great job Dylan!

The highlanders compete at the Montana Open this weekend in Billings to wrap up the Folkstyle season.  Good job Highlanders!
